iQ detects in the early stages of pregnancy 2 of the forms of pregnancy hormone in the urine which increase and are therefore detectable during pregnancy.
It is designed to detect a very small amount of the pregnancy hormone hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in your urine. Test sensitivity is 25 mIU/ml with >99% accuracy in laboratory studies. This hormone is produced immediately after conception, and gradually increases during the first three months of pregnancy. The iQ Home Pregnancy Test is an ultra-sensitive test that studies have shown can detect levels as low as 10 mIU/ml of hCG. It is designed to detect pregnancy hormone (hCG) from the 2nd to 3rd day after hCG levels begin to rise.
Allow 7 days after the contact date before taking the test.
You don't have to wait until your period is late to take the test.
When testing before your expected period, it is recommended that you use your first morning urine.
A positive result means you are pregnant, but a negative result should be rechecked at the time of your expected period. You do not need to use your first morning urine if you have a late period.
